User Agent Profile
Different GSM devices have different input, output, hardware, software, and network capabilities. In order for a web server to provide optimized content (including textual, pictorial, and other multimedia content) to different clients, it requires the description of the capabilities of the client known as the delivery context. It allows network operators and service/content providers to dynamically interact for automated content adaption.

MSAI provides the User Agent Profile (UAP) services which are related to the capturing capability and preference information for wireless devices. This information can be used by content providers to produce content in an appropriate format for the specific device.

A UAP file describes the capabilities of a mobile handset, including Vendor, Model, Screen size, Multimedia Capabilities, Character Set support, and more. Recently we have begun to include in UAP data conforming to MMS, PSS5 and PSS6 Schemas. This gives much more detailed data about video, multimedia, streaming and MMS capabilities.

In telecommunications, the Value Added Services (VAS), device recognition plays a vital role as it is very important for a mobile handset to speak about its capabilities in the network so that the applications can work effectively; otherwise it creates difficulties to the end user.

This way, User Agent Profile enables the mobile terminals to declare their capabilities on the network to the Content Providers and the Network Operators, which further helps them in tailoring the content according to the device.

OTA at MSAI :

What is OTA: Over The Air –way to communicate to update the changes and manage the handsets without being physically connected.

OTA enables a Network Operator to introduce new SIM services or to modify the contents of SIM cards in a rapid and cost-effective way.

OTA is based on client/server architecture where at one end there is an operator back-end system (customer care, billing system, and application server) and at the other end there is a SIM card.

The operator’s back-end system sends service requests to an OTA Gateway which transforms the requests into Short Messages and sends them onto a Short Message Service Centre (SMSC) which transmits them to one or several SIM cards in the field.

MSAI also covers the OTA implementation for the mobile handset across the Network operators, it enables network operators to provision the requisite settings Over the Air of State of Art value added services by way of putting the information of the handset with its device database.

MSAI is a pioneer of Over-the-Air (OTA) services that allow handsets to be remotely managed by the service provider or manufacturer/ Brand owners. Today, we have a range of software solutions for device configuration and firmware updates. Its tools are deployed either in-network or offered via a hosted model to many of the world's best-known wireless brands. MSAI provides a complete solution for the management of OTA, a solution that has been widely adopted by customers all across the nations.
